Lidia's Italy: Recipes: Marinara Sauce. I use three pounds beefsteak type tomatoes and throw them into oil and garlic with their skins and all. I then remove the skins as the tomatoes cook. This is seriously YUMMY!!! Make with fresh from the garden tomatoes and you will not be sorry! My husband liked this sauce served over Fresh Gourmet Roasted Garlic Focaccia Croutons (found at Costco).
