Tomatoes! If you are about to grow your tomato plants in the ground, look for varieties that have the acronym "VFN" which stand for verticillium wilt, fusarium and nematodes. Many hybrid tomatoes like Better Boy and Champion are resistant to VFN. Nematodes are tiny worm-like creatures. Fusarium and verticillium will cause leaves to curl and wilt, stunting the plant. Old heirloom tomatoes are not resistant to VFN. But if you plant in a container with clean potting soil, no problem.
