Storm Thorgerson has been designing album cover art for over 35 years. Thorgerson was a key member of the British graphic art group Hipgnosis, and designed many of their most famous single and album covers. Perhaps Storm Thorgerson’s most famous designs are those for Pink Floyd as his design for The Dark Side of the Moon has been called one of the greatest album covers of all time.
Black Sabbaths Tony Iommi's "Old Boy" Built in Birmingham UK by luthier John Diggins sometime between 1975 and 1978, the guitar was first used for overdubs on the 'Heaven and Hell' album and later became one of Iommi's main guitars. The guitar is equipped with a 24 fret neck with custom cross inlays, five control knobs (three of which are functional) and a highly distressed finish. He had two more built for him.
Satanic band, US-based, co-founder/co-songwriter/bassist is named Oz Osbourne (!), leadoff track on the album is called "Black Sabbath." The UK band Black Sabbath's first album did not appear until a year later.
