This is the flight deck of the new Boeing 747-8, the fourth generation of the original Jumbo Jet; and currently the longest, second largest overall, and longest-range passenger jet in the world. Two people sit in these two chairs and fly an aluminum tube the size of an office building at nearly the speed of sound more than half-way around the world with 400 people in back. If you are cynical about the state of the world, your eyes may not be all the way open.
The Boeing 747-8 with four General Electric GEnx-2B67 turbofans - with carbon fan & fan case, raked wingtip, gapped configuration Krueger flaps, double-slotted flaps, and supercritical wing - some of the items that differ extensively from the -400. Very nice aircraft.
