Grilled Broccoli. I think kids will even like this!! You can find the recipe on Allrecipes.com. I'll never boil broccoli again! I tinkered with the recipe and made it Asian-style with ginger, red pepper, soy sauce, rice vinegar, olive oil and black pepper. Yum!
Garlic Butter Broccoli Broccoli ( fresh or thawed from frozen) 20 oz 2 Tablespoons of Butter or Margarine 1 Clove of Garlic Minced Black Pepper Salt Instructions Cook broccoli in salted boiling water till tender ( about 5 minutes) – drain. In a pan melt butter and add garlic and cook for about 2 minutes + add broccoli and toss. Garnish with pepper.
Steam instead of boiling-While both are great options for meats and veggies, steaming is king because it removes fewer nutrients from vegetables. While boiling can leech out some of the better nutrients (hence why water turns green after boiling broccoli), steaming keeps all that green goodness inside the veggies.
Stuffed pistolettes! Ingredients: pistolettes, velveeta cheese, broccoli, hamburger meat, butter, and salt. Instructions: take the inside if the pistolettes out so you can stuff them, boil broccoli, chop up meat and cool till it's the way you like it, and cut the cheese into small squares. Stuff the ingredients in the pistolettes, and put them into a pan. Drizzle melted butter over them and salt. Place in oven at 360 for 4 or so minutes or until cheese is melted. Then enjoy!
