Army CPL Jacob R. Carver, 20, of Freeman, Missouri. Died November 13, 2010, serving during Operation Enduring Freedom. Assigned to 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died when a suicide bomber detonated a vest bomb near his position during combat operations in Zhari District, Kandahar Province, Afghanistan.
U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant Adam Leigh Cann, 23 of Davie, Florida, was killed in action on January 5, 2006 by a suicide bomb attack in Ramadi, Iraq. Sgt. Cann and his bomb-sniffing dog, Bruno were working security and crowd control at an Iraqi police recruiting center. Bruno alerted on a suspected target in the crowd. Sgt. Cann confronted a male suspect & discovered he was wearing a vest of explosives. Sgt. Cann threw himself into the terrorist as he detonated the vest. Check our full story.
