Brugal Rum: Entirely produced in the Dominican republic. Founded by Andres Brugal, a Spanish national who migrated to Santiago de Cuba and later to Puerto Plata DR. It is the world's third largest producer of Rum. Puerto Plata, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC.
Brugal Rum released their newest blend, Papá Andrés Alegría. The 2015 edition, a blend from the family’s private reserve, was created by master blender Jassil Vallanueva Quintana, the family’s youngest maestra ronera (master blender). Subtly sweet, smooth and complex, this $1,500-a-bottle rum has only 1,000 bottles in circulation.
Brugal Rum Punch
2 ounces Brugal Anejo Rum
1 wedge fresh lime
1 1/2 teaspoon grenadine
6 to 8 fresh mint leaves
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1. In a rocks glass, muddle 4 cherries and sugar. Add ice.
