"True Love Ways" Buddy Holly ... "True Love Ways" is a song co-written by Buddy Holly and Norman Petty and recorded with the Ray Ellis orchestra in October 1958, four months before the singer's death.... Such a beautiful song and one I have always loved!
Buddy Holly died On February 3, 1959 in a small-plane crash together with Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper. That day is still known as "The day the music died". Sometimes I wonder what other beautiful songs he would have made if he hadn't died at age 22. Weezer named one of their songs to him.
Buddy Holly~ killed in a small plane crash along with Ritchie Valens and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson. His gravestone bears the true spelling of his family name "Holley" and a depiction of his Fender Stratocaster.
