Garden Bugs Cupcakes! by thecustomcakeshop. These are really adorable but I imagine expensive per cupcake. Something I could look into locally.

These come from a book "Hello Cupcake"! They're vanilla cupcakes with Betty Crocker vanilla frosting. Bugs are piped melted chocolate and M & M's. Colour the frosting and cover the cupcakes. You can add sprinkles or colored sugar onto a plate and gently roll the edges of the cakes to make a border on them. Pipe the legs on to some baking paper, and place the M & M's in; let set in the fridge. Gently peel the bugs n place on cupcake ~craftsters.org ozgirl42

how cute and perfect as a treat to go with any children's book or story on insects! My favorite is the dragonfly using the sweet/sour gummi worms!
