Captain Kangaroo - along with Mr. Moose, Bunny Rabbit, Mr. Green Jeans (he was my favorite), Dancing Bear, Grandfather Clock (I have a Grandfather Clock ornament I bought for my Christmas tree) -- all my friends came to my home via my television set every morning. I loved being able to count on each of them to be themselves, and the animal segments and cartoons (especially Simon and his magic chalk). Captain Kangaroo and friends made my morning each day.
