Sweat shops like the one shown are examples of global outsourcing, as well as global stratification. This can increase poverty in the U.S. by lowering the amount of jobs available to citizens. This also increases stratification as the foreign workers are usually paid next to nothing, making the rich business owners in the U.S. even richer.
