Marble Caves of Patagonia in Chile – Lake Carrera. The lake is on the border of Argentina and Chile, and the caves are located on the side of Chile. The caves are the three main grotto: Chapel (La capillaries), Church (El Catedral) and Cave (Cueva). Visitors can explore the caves on a small boat or kayak, but only after the waters of Lake Carrera calm down and be serene.
The Red Lagoon is located at approximately 3700 meters above sea level in the Arica and Parinacota Region, in northern Chile. It is accessible from the town of Camiña, located 147 km from the city of Iquique. This lake of hot water (about 40-50 °C) is also called “Red Sea” by the local people. Its depth is unknown to the locals who attribute supernatural powers to the red water. There are myths of mysterious disappearances and deaths of Aymara Indians who drank the water.
