In Greek mythology, Daedalus (Ancient Greek: Δαίδαλος or Daedalos, meaning "clever worker") was a skillful craftsman and artisan. He is the father of Icarus and Iapyx and the uncle of Perdix. He also created the Labyrinth on Crete, in which the Minotaur (part man, part bull) was kept. Daedalus built the labyrinth for King Minos, who needed it to imprison his wife's son the Minotaur.

Cal is manipulative and clever. Aron is like the puppet and Cal is the puppet master.
