Au Gratin Pearl Onions. Update: I made these with potatoes included and they were divine! I never thought onions could be this delicious. Everyone raved about them. They were soft but still had a slight crunch. Just wonderful. It's a keeper!
French Rice Soubise ~ From Julia Child's "The Art of French Cooking" _ Soubise is an utterly delicious dish comprised of onions, rice, butter, & seasonings. To finish the dish a small amount of cream & little grated Gruyere or other Swiss-type cheese is stirred in for enrichment.
