Deborah, the only female judge of Israel named in the Bible. If you are unfamiliar with Deborah, you can find her story in Judges chapters 4&5. We really don’t have a ton of information on Deborah, but I think she is one cool chick.
Love this image for Deborah. Judges 4 and 5. She was a judge of Israel, a prophetess, a wife, a warrior, even the commander of the army wouldn't go to war without her. My King honors women, I love him!
Deborah served as a wise judge, obeying God's commands. In a time of crisis, she trusted God and took steps the necessary steps to defeat the enemy. She followed God faithfully, acting with integrity in her duties. Her boldness came from relying on God - not herself. In a male-dominated culture, Deborah did not let her power go to her head but used her authority as God guided her. Deborah gave glory to God when He gave her the victory.
Deborah, the only woman judge mentioned in the Bible - a prophetess of the God of the Israelites. Christians say women can't be leaders, or have strong voice., based on the words of Paul. Once again, research please! I have never been quiet, and I am a born leader. I'd much rather be a Deborah than a Mary.
