Whether you are diagnosed w/ down syndrome, cerebral palsy, diabetes, obesity, or heart disease or whatever... it does not mean that you are no longer the same as everyone!! A diagnosis does not DEFINE you, you are who you are so let your light shine & break out & be who you were meant to be. God loves everyone.   You are beautifully & wonderfully made...

In 1861, Dr. William Little was the first to define CP as the result of an abnormal form of labor in which the infant is partially suffocated. Later, Dr. Sigmund Freud theorized that CP was caused by abnormal fetal development.

She is smarter than most of the adults who try to diagnose her and smarter than her classmates in her integrated classroom—the very same classmates who dismiss her as mentally challenged because she cannot tell them otherwise. But Melody refuses to be defined by cerebral palsy. And she’s determined to let everyone know it…somehow.
