“The Desolate Shore” (SOLD). I share with you Robert Herrick’s (1591 – 1674) “His Mistress to Him at His Farewell” Languish and look, but thy return see never. Oh then to lessen my despair Print thy lips into the air, So by this Means I may kiss thy kiss When as some kind Wind Shall hither waft it, and in lieu My lips shall send a thousand back to you.
My favorite shot of the Mt. Ijen crater lake, East Java under a blanket of stars. Kind of feels like trekking through a desolate alien world. The crater lake which resides at it's basin is recognized as the largest highly acidic crater lake in the world with a pH level of 0.5. I don't really know what that means but I reckon its safe to leave your swimsuit at home.
Desolation | Shattered hope | What does this place mean to the person standing in the doorway? Is this a home that he left? Or is this the castle that his mother told him stories about? Did he expect to find it in ruins? | What did he hope to find here? | Shon returning to the monastary
Laos "She stayed looking at me during few minutes but I couldn't know what was the meaning of her bewitching eyes. Certainly a lot of curiosity to see a stranger going so deep in her country; this portraiture is for her: The little girl with bewitching eyes." - Mathieu Faria-Fernandes
