Marketing holocaust; leading to doublethink* by ubiquitous assimilation. How one will be able to imagine any thing if images are always provided? [* to deliberately believe in lies while knowing they are false]
Having been out of the film business for nearly a decade, American History X director Tony Kaye makes a welcome return to the director’s chair and takes a hard look at the American education system in Detachment. #film #independentfilm #movies #education
Detachment (2011) A very poetic film about an English Lit teacher who only works as a sub in schools which are located in very poor urban areas. He doesn’t want to bond much with others because he is trying to control his dark emotions about life and the triviality of our existence (although sounds depressing it is absolutely not). He also takes care of his last family connection, his grandfather who lives in an elderly home. Unsurprisingly, their relationship is very emotional and deep.
