1887 Wedding dress, Australia: Ivory silk faille, machine Valenciennes-style lace, faux pearls, and white glass beads. Fitted, boned bodice has off-shoulder neckline and very short sleeveband. Lace gathered in front to form collar. Beads applied in front to make “stomacher.” Pleated sash ties in front. Full, gathered skirt with bustle, overlaid with beaded lace, and medallions.
