Explore Our World through Google Earth

Cool! Ways to use Google Earth in the classroom (or home!) to show kids the world. Google Earth is an astounding, eye-opening, free geographic resource that allows you and your children to fly anywhere on the planet and zoom in to see cities, buildings, landmarks, ancient ruins, terrain: anything on Earth. The underwater tour and the amazon tour are my favorites!

FREE - Google Earth Latitude and Longitude: U.S. Capitals worksheet. I use this with my sixth grade students when we learn about latitude and longitude. This worksheet has 15 sets of latitude and longitude coordinates. Students are to find the capital city located at each set of coordinates using Google Earth.

Google Earth has Hogwarts? Holy hell... Must find this (and break the enchantment so that Muggles can see it!)
