Eastern State Penitentiary III, Cell Block Three, Philadelphia, PA. Erected in 1829, it was finally abandoned in 1971. In 1995, Terry Gilliam used it as the setting for a mental hospital in his film "Twelve Monkeys."

Other ghost include A shadow-like figure that scoots quickly away when approached. A figure that stands in the guard tower. An evil cackling reportedly comes from cellblock 12. In cellblock 6, another shadowy figure has been seen sliding down the wall. Mysterious, ghostly faces are said to appear in cellblock 4.

Eastern State Penitentiary - A terrific place to visit. Take the audio tour narrated by Steve Buscemi. It will take a couple hours to tour the facility. See all stages of cells and also for the artist, see some transformed cells by former prisoners of their perception of being in prison. This place was also featured on Ghost Hunters and is commonly known as being haunted. At Halloween they have haunted tours.
The Eastern State Penitentiary is located in Philadelphia PA. The Penitentiary, built in the 1820's-30's, is a National Historic Landmark now open to the public and is run by a non profit group who offer guided and unguided tours of the old prison.
