This wonderful ceilidh band will ensure that the Festival Ceilidh- all ages very welcome- on 20 July 2016 will be a huge success. The band has performed at gigs all round the world and closer to home at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the huge Edinburgh Street Party on Hogmanay. Not to be missed!
Edinburgh's Christmas and Hogmanay events are spectacular, not least of which is the torchlight procession headed up by Lerwick's Jarl's Squad. We watched the festivities this year from the Mound then walked to Calton Hill to see the fireworks and it was quite simply amazing. A great time to visit Edinburgh, but bring your woollies!
Stonehaven, this is the crazy New Year's fire festival that I would love to go to. They march down the main street swinging huge lit balls of fire, while hundreds of spectators watch and hope these things don't get hurled into the crowd!
Samba School are a colourful Samba percussion group specialising in authentic rhythms from the flamboyant Carnival culture of Brazil. Samba is the heartbeat of this culture of celebration, street parties, dance and fun. Loud and lively, energetic and dynamic, the Samba School has become a regular and popular feature of community festivals and special events in Edinburgh and elsewhere in Britain and Europe.
Christmas Traditions: Edinburgh is recognised globally as the Home of Hogmanay. The city welcomed 80,000 revellers last year to celebrate New Year in style at the Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party, attracting visitors from over 60 countries.
