Egham & Runnymede - Get there via South West train from Waterloo, 40 minutes, from £12 return. Have a bite at The Tudor Room at the beautiful and historical Great Fosters Hunting Lodge Hotel. Caffe Gondola is a great alternative if you’re on a budget. Make sure to see the Runnymede National Trust, where King John sealed the Magna Carta in 1215.
Beryl Cook - Song and Dance * Artist is from my home town of Plymouth, England. She received an OBE from the Queen before she died. All her paintings are about human activity and every day activities. This could be somehow turned into a fun lesson on identity. I find her paintings ask nothing but questions!
Royal Holloway - part of the University of London and just outside Greater London. Built in the 1880s at eye-watering expense, it's modelled on the Château de Chambord in the Loire, with a Gothic twist. Originally 'women-only', the college has admitted men since 1965. TW20, Egham Rail (Waterloo).
