Eid Al-Kabir is the most important holiday of a Moroccan year, as it a central Islamic holiday, commemorating Abraham's sacrifice. In return, Moroccans sacrifice animals, such as sheep, goats, cows and more. Even poorer families will borrow money to perform this ritual on the auspicious day. All the meat from the sacrifice is used in the highest respect. Every part of the animal is cooked and served, or donated to various charities.
