Designed by David and Elizabeth Emanuel, this pale blue tulle ballgown adorned with pearlized sequins with pink sash and bodice bow was first worn by Diana with the Spencer tiara in Australia in 1983. She wore it again on the same tour in Wellington, New Zealand. In 1985 Diana wore this dress to Cardiff, Wales. Lot #23, this gown raised $ 27,600 for Diana's charities.
A rare private picture of Princess Diana with her designers David and Elizabeth Emanuel, taken inside her apartment's living room at Kensigton Palace, on 1985. David & Elizabeth Emanuel were the first designers ever that Diana worked with after her marriage. They first met her when she was engaged to the Prince of Wales, on 1981. She asked them to design her wedding dress, and since then, they became one of her favorite designers.
