Eunice Kennedy Shriver American, Sister of JFK and RFK, A key founder of The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development but mainly known for her work in the Special Olympics which focuses on disabled or handicapped children completing in an Olympic atmosphere.
Sargent Shriver(1915-2011) married Eunice Kennedy (1921-2009), a sister of John F. Kennedy, on May 23, 1953 at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. They had five children. She was the founder of the Special Olympics and he was the driving force behind the Peace Corps.
