Charlton Heston (1923-2008) is associated with BEN-HUR, PLANET OF THE APES, opposition to the Vietnam War when he was younger, and with Ronald Reagan and the National Rifle Association when he was older. The latter overshadowed his active participation in the civil rights movement during the 1960s. Racial segregation in the United States as a general term, included physical separation and provision of separate facilities, services, and opportunities such as housing, medical care, education, employment, and transportation along racial lines. Disgusting.
