In my search for some unique design inspiration, I stumbled upon an homage to the great Irving Penn (1917-2009), American photographer internationally known for his portraits, fashion photography and still lifes.

Carmen Dell’Orefice, was born in New York City, June 3, 1931 to Giuseppe Dell’Orefice, a symphony violinist and his wife Margaret, a Hungarian dancer. She appeared on the October 1947 cover of Vogue, at age 15, one of the youngest cover models ever. She worked with the most famous fashion photographers including Cecil Beaton, Francesco Scavullo, Mark Shaw and Richard Avedon ... became Salvador Dali's muse. She is still a very popular model, earning up to $ 100,000 a day.
