Antique Victorian or Edwardian hallmarked silver Irish Connemara marble ' Dear Little Shamrock' lucky horseshoe brooch. The brooch is stamped ' Dear Little Shamrock ' after the famous irish song of this name by the author Andrew Cherry. The song was written in the late 18th century.  The brooch has a set of hallmarks with makers J.C., the lion for sterling silver, the anchor for Birmingham assay office and a faded date letter which might be a small h for 1907.
