Blount48The master bedroom was originally upstairs, but the clients wanted the master suite to be downstairs instead. Chip and Jo transformed the garage addition into a cozy master suite. They installed new flooring, light fixtures and crown molding. The bedroom was painted “Intellectual Gray”. A once tiny guest bath was expanded and renovated in a nice size master bath and closet.

FixerUpper2.6_008Chip and Jo opened up the kitchen, tripling its size. They installed new cabinets, concrete countertops and a white 3 x 6 subway tile with natural gray group. Joanna found and included a quirky antique copper vent hood with scalloped edges, adding some whimsy to the space. The clients wanted a large island to be able to entertain guests and create a big statement in the kitchen. Clint with Harp Design Co resurfaced the kitchen island, which was part of an old railroad car.
New honed black granite countertops were added along with a new farm sink, fixtures, lighting, cabinets and floating cedar shelves. Clint Harp crafted an island that Joanna designed for the Kings using some shiplap found on one of the original walls.
