Tints and Shades with Sheep. As part of our global studies, the Second Grade painted these lovely landscapes that depict the hills of Ireland. The fun of this project was exploring color mixing as we painted dark, medium, and light shades of green. We also learned the terms foreground, middleground and background. The details of the sky and the sheep were added the following week.
