Frozen bananas taste so good in a smoothie and until recently I had no idea you could even freeze bananas. Now I'm disappointed if I don't have a frozen banana to throw in my smoothie. Here are the very simple steps to banana freezing.
Chop up and freeze banana prior to blending for a less mooshie consistency. Apple, honey or fruit juice can tone down the bitterness of veggies in green smoothies. Touch of vanilla extract, honey, stevia or cinnamon can add flavour and/or sweetness. Want protein but don't have protein powder? Add 1/2 cup of tofu for every scoop of powder. Source: Alex Orlov
