IMMUNE BOOSTER Garlic, Honey, and Lemon Tea 8-12 cloves of crushed and peeled garlic, simmered in two cups of water for 10 minutes. Strain. Add into the strained water The juice from one fresh lemon and honey to taste. For even more immune boosting power, add 1-3 tablespoons of coconut oil at the end, and let it dissolve into the tea, before drinking.
In Mexico, or Spain for that matter, garlic tea is served up for coughs or colds. People swear by it! The garlic oils inhibit cough and cold microbes, and they are effective decongestants. Lemon juice reduces and thins mucus, which makes it easier to unclog a stuffed up respiratory system. Lemon juice also changes the bodys pH, making it less hospitable to viruses and bacteria.
