Glastonbury Tor is a hill at Glastonbury in the English county of Somerset, topped by the roofless St Michael's Tower which is a Grade I listed building. The whole site is managed by the National Trust and has been designated as a Scheduled monument. Artifacts from human visitation have been found dating from the Iron Age to Roman eras. The Tor is mentioned in Celtic mythology, particularly in myths linked to King Arthur.

O'Neil, Glastonbury, via Gympie, has received from the Base Records Office, Melbourne, the following copy of an extract from the "London Gazette," dated 11th May 1917"His Majesty the King has been graciously pleased to award the Military Medal to No. 1260, Private Kevin O'Neill, 9th Battalion, for bravery in the field."  Private O'Neill enlisted in November, 1915, and left for the the Front in June last year, reaching the Front in the early part of September, 1916…
