The build up to the 2012 London Olympics provides an excellent opportunity to engage students all round the world in learning about Britain and the countries within (England, Scotland and Wales). Below I have suggested some activity ideas for across the curriculum

fair-winds-and-all-i-see: Happy horse, happy rider. Our London 2012 gold medalist and her amazing horse. I love the story of Charlotte and Valegro. Carl Hester is a champion, too. He took Charlotte under his wing and let her ride his horse to victory. He said he knew Valegro could win a gold medal. He knew Charlotte would be the rider to get it. She has said she owes everything to him. What a great team.
