How to cook a tender NY Strip Steak. Let steaks rest 30 min room temp before cooking. Marinade lightly with Worcestershire & seasoning of choice. I use Omaha Steak Seasoning. Put Olive Oil in the pan, then the steaks into very hot skillet. Sear 3 min each side. Finish in 400* oven to your desired level of doneness. Don't forget the pad of butter as it goes in the oven! Restaurant quality every time!
For GRILLING steak - start the grill, heat up on high for 5+ minutes before putting the steak on. cook on MED. (Add 2 minutes or more per side if they are extra thick steaks). Only flip ONCE. Add a pat of butter & dash of salt.
