Former grammar school in Market Harborough, Leicestershire; a landlocked county in central England. This unique school (b. 1614) was constructed upon posts to allow the Butter Market to be held beneath. Subjects taught in this primary school for boys aged 8-14 were Latin, Greek, and Hebrew. Many of the pupils went on to distinguish themselves at Oxford or Cambridge University; including Nobel Peace Prize Winner Sir William Henry Bragg (physicist, chemist, and mathematician)
