6) I was intrigued by his music but knew nothing about his life and career, so I started reading two thick biographies.  I thus learned the chronology of his music and the context in which much of it was written.  This was only his third album yet the depth and power of the songs are astounding.  The first time I heard it, I stopped everything I was doing and just listened.
