Pediatricians are facing a Hip Dysplasia Epidemic with babies at 3 months of age. A major risk factor for Hip Dysplasia is the way babies are being swaddled. When the legs are forced to be completely straight it forces some muscles to be constantly stretched and can cause damage in the hip joint. Hip Dysplasia is a congenital or developmental deformation of the hip joint. This is especially more of a concern for babies that already have 'clicking' sounds in there hips.
