Ah, the holidays: A time to give thanks, spend time with family, eat good food, light your neighbors on fire, rub engine oil in grandma's eyes, get drunk, fight a bull and dress up in a white tuxedo to ward off the furious ghosts of fish.
Holi, India Also known as the festival of colors and love, this vivid spring festival brings all people together. The social barriers break completely, friend or stranger, rich or poor, men or women, children or elders, Hindu or not, all people come together to celebrate the end of the winter season. And most important to celebrate that everyone is the same!
I know why I am here and my only real focused goal is to live each day to the fullest and to try and honor God and be an encouragement to others. What the future holds is firmly in God's hands, and I am very happy about that!
Being away from home, I really can't help but admire and love my culture that uses as much color and flavour.. India- Warm spices, flavors, rich colour and so much more. Such a beautiful culture. I miss every bit of it. #MKM915
