Wedding rings of Holocaust victims. Just remember, this cannot be all of them. Each of these rings belonged to a person who had a family, a person they loved. This is one of the most haunting things I've ever seen.

An unburned hand (no that is not a prop) emerging from an oven serves as a stark reminder of the death and horror of the time. This one was at Stutthof - a reminder that the horror was not just at the more famous camps such as Auschwitz and Buchenwald. I know I said I would go easy on the holocaust, but this was just too far out there to pass up.

Heartrending Release, 1945. This once in a lifetime image depicts Holocaust survivors at the moment of realizing they are liberated. This is such candid, raw photo you would think it was taken on a cellphone at the spur of the moment.
