Looking for Homeless Assistance? If you are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless, or know someone that is homeless, help is available. HUD, along with many other Federal agencies, funds programs to help persons who are homeless. Local homeless assistance agencies provide a range of services and assistance, including emergency shelter, food, housing counseling, and job training and placement assistance.
Swags for Homeless gives dignity to the homeless turned away from shelters. The older Australians who do access homeless assistance services are more likely to have been sleeping rough (in a car, in a tent, or on the street or in a squat) than any other age group.
PATH is a family of agencies working together to end homelessness for individuals, families, and communities throughout California. They strive to do this by prioritizing housing while providing customized supportive services for people in need. Their agencies each address homelessness in a different way—supportive services, permanent housing development, support for homeless families, and community engagement—all of which ultimately help the people we serve make it home.
