Homemade Sour Cream. 3 minutes prep, let it sit for 24 hours and you have great tasting Sour Cream without all those added chemicals. Sour Cream is one of those items I can't seem to keep in stock. I don't know how many times I've wanted a baked potato with sour cream and found out I used it all for that potato chip dip I made.
HOMEMADE SOUR CREAM ! 1/4 cup Milk 3/4 teaspoon Distilled White Vinegar 1 cup Heavy Cream Directions: Combine the milk and vinegar, and let stand for 10 minutes. Pour the heavy cream into a jar. Stir in the milk mixture, cover the jar, and let stand at room temperature for 24 hours. Chill before using.
