Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. (Ephesians 5:25, 28, 31 KJV)

Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her.

Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. Ephesians 4:1-3

Very good rules. I think the most important thing I've learned from marriage so far is to be patient with one another and to be able to admit you're wrong. Among a lot of other things obviously ;)

Colossians 3:19 “Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.” Also in Ephesians 5:25, which says, “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her” Treat her with respect always.
