Kawazu Nanadaru Loop Bridge, Japan, 1982. The bridge on Highway 414 between Tokyo and the Izu peninsular is a well known landmark, sometimes known as the Japanese Double loop spiral. This unique structure looks more like a roller coaster than a motorway and brings cars up and down a full 45 meters (148 feet) in a valley between two mountainsides. Some other stats: 1.1 kilometers long, the diameter is 80 meters, speed limit 30 km/h.
