Jack and the Beanstalk; my toddler class did this and loved placing their own picture upon the stalk. But place the stalk high enough that they can't rip it down!

You and the Beanstalk. A craft to go with the story Jack and the Beanstalk. I would use paper towel holders as the stalks and insert pipe cleaners folded in half as the leaves. KJC

Castles in the Sky A game I made that can go with Nursery Rhymes too. The children take turns rolling the dice and then place that many magic beans (lima beans) carefully on the plate trying not to tip it over. Keep playing until the castle topples down. This is not an original idea - I got it from makinglearningfun.com I believe.

Jack and the Beanstalk mathematics and craft activity: ask students to count out magic beans, leaves, and clouds. This image was uploaded by the user, so there is no link but this picture tells it all. A great activity to do with the story as well as a way to tie math and literacy together, which is something I am always looking to do.
