Rudolf Nureyev, one of the most celebrated ballet dancers of the 20th century, died on January 6, 1993. He is buried in Russian cemetery in Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois close to Paris. In 1996 his friends and admirers built a beautiful memorial to him in the shape and colors of the Oriental kilim rugs which Nureyev loved to carry with him. Danny Thomas (born Amos Muzyad Yakhoob Kairouz; January 6, 1912 – February 6, 1991) was an Lebanese American nightclub comedian and television and film actor, best known for starring in the television sitcom Make Room for Daddy (also known as The Danny Thomas Show). He was also the founder of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Thomas enjoyed a successful 13-year run (1953–1965) on Make Room for Daddy, later known as The Danny Thomas Show. He died in 1991, of heart failure at age 79.
