Gone to Dad's That's right Jesus is not on the cross any longer the cross just represents that he was there.

In Matt 6:24 and Luke 16:13 it tells us we choose whom we will serve, the God's of our ancestors (religions) or ourselves or the Lord God. The Lord looks upon the heart of a man or woman and knows the intentions behind their choices. Case in point the thief on the cross next to Jesus..forgiven in the moments of his last earthly breath.

This is how we need to see Jesus. He died for us on the cross, but He is not there now. For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross. So, Jesus is enjoying that joy that helped Him take our sins upon Him and so should we. The joy of the Lord is our strength.
