Meditate on these Scriptures Today: (John 7:37-39) On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink. He that believeth in Me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believe in Him should receive; for the Holy Ghost was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
From John 7:37-39 we can see how to experience and enjoy Christ as the thirst-quenching river of living water out from our innermost being. It is by Christ becoming the life-giving Spirit in His resurrection (1 Cor. 15:45). As such a One, Christ can enter into our human spirit to indwell us and make our spirit life (Rom. 8:10). This becomes the inner source, of supply to live the Christian life.
