Architects Grimshaw have completed an installation for London department store John Lewis that's made of suspended cardboard tubes. The tubes vary in length and sit in the circular holes cut from two vertical sheets of clear acrylic. The design will debut at John Lewis' Oxford Street shop for two months before moving around the UK to
"Pilgrim" by Ercol furniture / Designed exclusively for John Lewis, Pilgrim is a range of display cabinets, made from white oak with lacquered frames in a choice of two colours - either grey or putty. The painted carcass contrasts with the natural oak finish of the fronts and interiors, whilst the simple, clean look takes inspiration from the New World styles. The range comprises a sideboard, armoire and tall six-drawer cabinet.
